Welcome to 1st grade! I am Mrs. Avila and I am so excited to be your teacher this ​year. This is my 6th year teaching, and my second year at WAES. I look forward to ​getting to know you and have an amazing school year.

I was born and raised here in Houston, Tx. I attended Sam Houston State University ​and obtained my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on bilingual ​education.

I am a wife and a mom. I have three beautiful children who we love to spend our ​time with. When I'm not at school, I enjoy crafting, reading, cooking, and enjoying ​time with my friends and family.
